2019 Artist Re-Cap
Anyone who follows me or my story, will find that I’m extremely creative. It’s in my soul. It’s who I am. I cannot not be creating something. It’s what brings peace and healing to my soul as I create. Most of the time, I’ll have worship music or a spiritual teaching on as I work. I love experience the creative nature of God and creating with Him.
So many things happened in my life as an artist in 2019. I made mistakes at times and lost focus on my truly calling… to bring people to Jesus. There were moments when my art became such the center of my focus that it was essentially an idle. But, alas! We serve a merciful God and He was faithful in leading me to repentance and drawing me back to Him.
As the year continued on, I finished my first collection of Art-O-Mat pieces and got them sent out. Click here if you want to learn more about what those pieces entailed. It’s a really fun way to get your art out in the world. 😉
I also heard the Lord tell me in March that I would finish my book in 2019. And again, He was faithful to help me do it, even though at the time I though it was crazy impossible. I finished the manuscript the week before Thanksgiving and signed the contract with a publisher a week later. God has been so good to me and my journey as an artist!
I also had the privilege of taking a new job teaching art for the private school my children attend. 2019 was a year of many changes and great adventures in my art journey. I believe that this next year, 2020, is going to be filled with fruit and victories born of the seeds planted in changes this past year. I cannot wait to see how God is going to move me forward!
I pray that as you reflect on your 2019, that you too can see the goodness and faithfulness of God and allow Him to move your forward into even greater things in 2020! Be blessed always!
